Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind is a highly complex topic, so there is no simple way for you to understand or deal with your subconscious mind. There are many teachings (in psychology, self-help and spirituality) that will tell you that they have a simple and easy program for helping you overcome all your problems. However, once you begin to understand the subconscious mind, you will see why there is no quick-fix. You will also, however, see that there is a viable long-term path to transcendence.

There’s no doubt about it, your mind is a powerful organ. But most leading psychoanalysts break your brain into two major categories: your conscious mind and your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is for waking thought,  it is responsible for critical thinking, making daily judgments, and deciding what decisions to make and actions to take.

The subconscious mind most of the time, it’s abilities are frozen, or a person is unaware of the actions of thoughts taking place just below the level of consciousness. Your subconscious is the place where painful or traumatic memories are stored (or repressed in an effort to protect you) and where impulses and instincts originate.  It is the impulses and instincts that, when honed, enhanced and given their day in the sun, can truly help you become a more self-aware person that leads a life of truth and that knows what he/she truly wants.

The subconscious mind is also highly suggestible. Various recent studies have proved this. This idea started way back in 1957 when a theater owner in New Jersey started flashing the words Drink Coke and Eat Popcorn well below the level of perception, as theater goers watched their movies. Sales of the food and beverage skyrocketed. Advertising specialists have been using this method (subliminal advertising) ever since.

Science has shown that most of your decisions, actions, emotions and behavior depend on the brain activity that is beyond your conscious awareness, which means that 95 – 99% of your life comes from the programming in your subconscious mind.

Look at your mind like an iceberg. A small tip is aware and active, and everything unconscious is actually supporting your activities, including your conscious thoughts and emotions. Your subconscious mind rules your life and is the underlining programming for all of your activities.

The most important thing about the subconscious mind you need to know is that it is always “on”. That is, it is active day and night, regardless of whether you are doing. The subconscious mind controls your body. You cannot hear this silent inner process with your conscious effort. You need to start taking care of your subconscious mind. It is vital to maintain your mind in a state of expectation of only good events and make the usual mode of your thinking based solely on loyalty, justice and love.

Astral Projection

The Astral Dimension

The astral is the closest dimension to the physical. Its contents are created by the collective consciousness of the world mind. It contains all the thoughts, memories, fantasies, and dreams of every living thing in the world. In it, the laws of sympathetic attraction, or like attracts like, causes this ocean of mind stuff to strata and settle into layers or pools.

These pools of thought are more commonly called astral planes, astral worlds, astral sub planes or astral realms. The astral dimension is composed of astral matter and is aptly described as mind stuff. It is extremely sensitive to thought and can be molded into any shape or form.
The complexity and durability of any creation in the astral dimension depends largely on the strength of the mind doing the creating.

This is how the subconscious mind creates dreams: By tuning into the astral dimension during sleep, it can create any scenario it wishes. This is the subconscious mind’s way of solving problems and of communicating with the conscious mind. It creates a series of complex thought form scenarios and projects them into the mind stuff of the astral dimension, where they become solid. The conscious mind then lives through and experiences these created scenarios in the dream state.

In a way it’s like a movie projector (subconscious mind) projecting onto a movie screen (astral dimension).

How Does Projection Happen?

During sleep, the energy body, also known as the etheric body or vitality sheath, is put on charge. It expands and opens in order to accumulate and store energy. The energy body can, normally, only do this in its expanded state during sleep. Once expanded, the chakras trickle power, in the form of etheric matter, into the energy body.

During this recharging process the astral body separates and tunes into the astral dimension where it can create and experience dreams. If this separation is done consciously, or if you become aware after it, you can take some control over it

The main differences between an OOBE, astral projection and a lucid dream are:

The OOBE (out of body experience) is a real time projection close to the physical world. This often occurs as part of a near death experience. This is where a person is knocked out of their body as a result of some kind of severe trauma, i.e. car accident, surgery, heart attack, child birth etc. OOBE’ers are aware of things happening in the real world, in real time; such as conversations and events centered around, or near to, their physical body.

In many cases, these events and conversations are accurately reported by the person after they have returned to their body. Note: The OOBE is slightly different from astral projection or lucid dreaming because of its real time, objective aspect. This is caused by the astral body containing a large amount of etheric matter, which holds it close to the physical world.

The Astral Projection

This is where the astral body is projected into the astral dimension, where things are quite different from the real world. Time is distorted and extended, i.e., an hour in the astral can be like a few minutes in the physical dimension, depending on what part of the astral you are in.

Reality is fluid and changeable.

The Lucid Dream

This is where a person becomes fully aware that they are dreaming during a dream. They either take some kind of conscious control over the course of events, or they convert the experience into an astral projection.

Lucid dreaming is more similar to an astral projection than to an OOBE, as time and reality are distorted.

Etheric Matter

Etheric matter is the actual life force substance generated by all living things by simply being alive. It is a substance in-between physical matter and astral matter, part physical and part astral.

This etheric matter has actual weight. It is a very refined substance in between matter and energy and is similar to its coarser cousin, ectoplasm. There have been scientific studies done on this phenomena. Dying people in hospitals have had their beds placed on delicate scales shortly before death and hooked up to EEG and ECG monitors.

In all cases, at the exact moment of death, a sudden weight loss of approximately one quarter of an ounce is observed. This is caused by a large amount of etheric matter being transferred into the astral body at the moment of physical death. This is similar to the sudden transfer of etheric matter into the astral body during a near death experience where the body believes it is dying.

This sudden, massive transfer of etheric matter is the start of the death process.

Dangers of Eating GMO Foods

Posted: November 22, 2013 in Uncategorized

This article discusses the potential health risks of genetically engineered foods. Foods genetically modified using bio-technologies are known as GM foods. Genetic material is altered using non-traditional, laboratory-based methods; this is known as genetic engineering. Individual genes with specific desirable traits are transferred from one organism to another.

In theory, genetic engineering allows genetic material to be transferred between any two organisms, including between plants and animals. For example, the gene from a fish that lives in very cold seas has been inserted into a strawberry, allowing the fruit to be frost-tolerant. However, this has not yet been done for currently available commercial food crops.

Unfortunately, there have been very few safety studies. Of the 10 published animal feeding studies, the most in-depth one showed evidence of damaged immune systems, digestive problems, excessive cell growth, and stunted organ development in rats fed an experimental GM potato. The scientists identified the process of genetic modification as the probable cause. When the scientist went public with his findings, he was fired from his job, and silenced with threats of a lawsuit. Unfortunately, no published study has yet tested the GM food on the market to see if they create these same damaging effects in humans.

Rats fed the genetically modified FlavrSavr tomato developed stomach lesions. Seven of forty rats died within two weeks. The crop was approved, but has since been taken off the market.

In the 1980’s a deadly epidemic was traced to the food supplement L-tryptophan, created from genetically modified bacteria. About 100 Americans died and an estimated 5-10,000 fell sick-some were permanently disabled. Biotech proponents successfully diverted the blame away from genetic engineering by attributing the disease to changes in the filtration system at the factory. It is now known, however, that hundreds had contracted the disease from genetically modified versions of L-tryptophan created during the four years prior to the change in the filter.

The disease created by the contaminated L-tryptophan was acute, rare, and came on quickly. If all three of these characteristics had not been present, it is unlikely that doctors would have identified the supplement as the cause; it might still be on the market. This begs the question, Are there other genetically modified products on the market creating serious health problems that are not being traced?

What GM foods do to our environment is also open to question. Because of their strange mixture of ingredients, genetically-modified organisms can introduce substances into our foods that have never been part of our diet. We simply don’t know what the effects could be. However, we now know that the pest-resistant material in GM corn has been shown to stay in the human body longer than anticipated. In fact, levels have been detected in the blood of pregnant women and unborn babies. In addition, some GM corn has also been associated with liver and kidney damage in animals.

Another potential problem area is viruses. By their very nature, viruses invade the genetic material of their hosts and often break apart and recombine using part of the host’s genetic material to create new viruses. When this happens with genetically engineered plants and animals outside of the laboratory, new viruses will be created that incorporate genetically engineered genetic material. The viruses will then spread and, because they could not have been naturally produced, there may be no natural defenses against them. Depending upon the kind of virus, they may then cause widespread death of certain plants, animals or even humans.

If you’re concerned about “Franken foods”, the best way to limit your exposure is to avoid processed foods (also a smart health move to avoid potentially health-harming additives and excessive sugar), eat locally grown produce, or go organic, since GM ingredients are banned from products labeled “organic.”

Striking Back Against Censorship

Fight for internet freedom!

The Blog

The mission of is to democratize publishing. We’re inspired every day by the ways creators use our platform to bring their voices to the world. Unfortunately, we also see many cases of censorship aimed at authors and users.

One area where we’ve seen a number of problems is the censoring of criticism through abuse of copyright law. Two recentcases of abuse really caught our attention and made us think that we needed to take action to fight back on behalf of our users and everyone who believes in the internet’s promise for free expression.

Censorship by DMCA

A common form of censorship by copyright stems from improper use of legal creations called DMCA takedown notices. The DMCA stands for the “Digital Millennium Copyright Act,” which is a US federal law that created a system for protecting copyrights online. The DMCA system works pretty well, but has a…

We all want to be kind, loving, sharing, compassionate and understanding. The question again is; where does it come from? Does it come from the ego or the heart? Maybe you`re asking yourself; what does it matter? A good deed is a good deed, well is it? Does it matter why we do it, as long as we`re doing it? It`s kind of like living your life doing good deeds just because you want your karma to be good and because you want to go to heaven or paradise. Wrong intentions are just as bad as wrong actions.

So, the next time you do something or say something, stop for a second and listen. Let yourself feel. Where does it come from? Why do you do it? And if you do it because of your ego, simply transform it and do it from your heart. That way your essence and your perfect light can shine through. The more ego structures we can find and transform, the more “you” will appear

  • Always operate from the principle that self-awareness is an ongoing state of learning and growth that never ends. It is not a goal that you can achieve. It is a state that is always changing.

  • Opportunities to become more self-aware arrive on a daily basis. You should expect that they can arrive in pleasant and unpleasant ways.

  • Be humble. Know that there are things you need to become more self-aware about and enjoy the journey of discovery.

Are you self-aware? Would you know if you were? Self-awareness is not a goal, but a continual learning process. Understanding yourself can help you during arguments, in choosing friends, and in finding general peace and joy in life. It sounds straightforward, but it takes some practice before you understand what this concept means, and how to apply it to your life.

“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”

– Albert Einstein

When you look at the stars in the sky with awe and admiration you feel a deep connection of beauty within you. As soon as you try to verbalize what you are feeling, you remove yourself from it, because to verbalize is to think, and to think is to not be fully present.

Learning to be non-verbal in your internal world will make you the witness of your inner world. Language is only needed to communicate with others, but language is not needed to communicate with one’s self.

Thoughts come and go, think of your mind as the host and your thoughts as the guests. Once you learn to watch, witness, and observer your thoughts, you will be in a position of mastering your mind.

Your thoughts are there but you are no longer a slave to your thoughts, you are the master of your thoughts. Don’t try and control your mind, this is impossible, just learn to become centered in your consciousness. Just watch, don’t try and stop your mind, just observe it and allow it to happen on its own.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

– Albert Einstein
Where are we now? We are aware of an inner life and one that we should discover. We should invest in ourselves and give ourselves the time to explore ourselves. Explore our inner feelings. Explore our inner experience.

We need to explore our inner world during our daily life. At first this will be difficult. But life will throw us ways by which this can be done. People will come into our life whom may well be able to help us. Situations will occur that will favor such explorations.

The secret of awareness is to just watch everything that is going on in the body and mind – as a witness. Do not resist, just observe.

More people are becoming consumed with materialism,
meaning that they are too concerned with material things and worldly
pleasures. The problem is that in their quest for these things, many
become greedy and selfish, and care less about others. Unfortunately,
many times we see arguments over money and material things, causing
dysfunction among families and friends.

We live in a world inundated with technology, from simple gadgets to complex electronics. Material things are the be-all and end-all for many of us. We want the houses, the cars, the fashionable cars and all the rest.

However, the most obvious manifestation of our materialism is our unabated appetite for money. And money can buy not only things. Nowadays, it can also buy love. Material wealth prevails over spiritual values.

Many people have taken materialism as the true measure of success. It is to have all the comforts in life through possession of the things that make living easier.

Possessions have become so important to us that we will go to great lengths to acquire them – and that usually means going into debt or spending tomorrow’s earnings. Many people will do whatever it takes for immediate gratification without considering the consequences of tomorrow or next year.

Many people are so obsessed with materialistic things, that they forget what’s important in life. If they really stop and take a hard look at their lives, they will probably find that in the process of accumulating possessions, they have forgotten to enjoy their possessions and live life!

Spirituality vs Materialism

Spirituality and materialism are both after happiness

Spirituality seeks happiness within, Materialism seeks happiness without.

Spirituality teaches us to aspire for a better life, a more illumined life. Materialism teaches us to desire more material goods and material wealth.

Spirituality teaches us to be selfless, materialism teaches us to  selfish.

Spirituality teaches us to love our fellow-man. Materialism teaches us to love our material wealth.

Spirituality does not compare. Materialism is subject to constant comparison the father of jealousy and insecurity.

Spirituality lives in the present moment. Materialism lives in tomorrows world of endless desires and yesterday’s world of inevitable dissatisfaction.

Spirituality enables peace of mind. Materialism, even with all the wealth in the world can never buy peace.

Materialism eventually becomes frustrated with its own limitations. Slowly, reluctantly and even unwillingly, materialism eventually turns to spirituality to feed its insatiable appetite for real happiness.

The 9 – 5 Grind

The majority of people today are extremely unsatisfied with their jobs. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are people out there who love what they do and who even enjoy the nine to five lifestyle, but I’m getting the sense that these people are in the minority.

I think that for many people, this job dissatisfaction isn’t occurring because they don’t like what they’re doing at work. It comes from the fact that their job doesn’t allow them to enjoy the rest of their life. They work forty (or more) hours per week and feel so burnt out by the time Friday rolls around that they can barely muster up the energy to spend time with friends and family.

Most people’s day from Monday to Friday looks something like this:

–      Wake up earlier than you want to.
–      Get stuck in traffic on the way to work.
–      Feel stressed all day at work.
–      Go home and throw a frozen dinner in the microwave because you’re too tired to cook.
–      Plop down in front of the TV because you’re too exhausted to do anything else.
–      Go to bed later than you meant to.
–      Repeat.

99.9% of these people will work a job until they retire or die. Most just accept that having a job is something you simply do in life. You’re born, you grow up, you work at a job, you retire and enjoy yourself for a few years or a decade, you get old, and then you die.

When you work a job, someone else is ultimately in control of what you work on, what you’re responsible for, when you work, when you take time off and how much you earn.

If you absolutely love your job, perhaps giving up that amount of control is worth it. For most people, it seems insane to accept those conditions.
